Privacy Policy

What we process, and why
Panel login: when you log in with Discord (OAuth2), we receive your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and the list of Discord servers you manage. We store this in a server-side session for up to 30 days so you stay logged in. Legal basis: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Server configuration: for each linked game server we store its name, the Discord server and channel IDs you configure, a hashed authentication token, and the game server's address. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Stored until you remove the server or ask us to delete it.
Status feed: the game server you link sends live status data (player names and, depending on the format its operator configures, data such as Steam IDs, ping or playtime). WireWolf posts this into the Discord channels that server's operator chose. The operator of the game server decides what appears; WireWolf does not keep player histories - each status message is overwritten in place.
Chat relay: in-game chat lines (player name, Steam ID, message) and, where two-way chat is enabled, Discord messages in the configured channels (author name, message) are relayed transiently between the game server and Discord. WireWolf does not store or log relayed chat.
Steam avatars: to show a player's avatar, we look up their public Steam profile image by Steam ID (steamcommunity.com) and cache the image URL in memory for up to one hour.
Technical logs: connection events (game server address, timestamps) appear in operational logs for running and securing the service. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cookies
The panel sets exactly one cookie: the session cookie that keeps you logged in (essential, httpOnly, 30 days). No analytics, no tracking, no third-party cookies - which is why there is no cookie banner.
Recipients and transfers
Data is exchanged with Discord Inc. (USA) as part of operating a Discord bot, and with Valve Corporation (USA) for public Steam profile lookups - both under their own privacy policies, with transfers safeguarded under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses. The service is hosted on infrastructure in the EU.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Log out to end your session at any time; ask us at admin@dasmaffin.com to delete your server configurations. You may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, dsb.gv.at) or your local supervisory authority.
Children
WireWolf is used through Discord and Steam, whose own age requirements (13+ or higher depending on country) apply.
